The basic calculation

If a 10-unit bonus has a 30× requirement applied to the bonus only, the illustrative wagering target is 300 units. If the same 30× applies to a 20-unit deposit plus the 10-unit bonus, the target becomes 900 units.

That arithmetic does not estimate the likely loss or time required. It also does not account for games that contribute less than 100% toward the target.

Game contribution

Terms may exclude some games or credit only a percentage of each wager. If a game contributes 20%, wagering 10 units reduces the requirement by only two units. Player-versus-player and lower-edge games are common candidates for reduced contribution, but the exact operator terms control.

Check whether cancelled, refunded or tied wagers count. Do not assume every visible game advances the requirement.

Maximum stake and conversion

A bonus may impose a maximum stake while wagering remains. Exceeding it can allow the operator to void the reward or associated winnings under the published terms. A maximum conversion can also cap how much becomes withdrawable after the requirement is completed.

A fuller example: the headline and the usable result

Suppose an offer advertises a 20-unit bonus after a 40-unit deposit. The requirement is 20× deposit plus bonus, the intended game contributes 25%, the maximum bonus stake is two units and the maximum conversion is 30 units.

The nominal target is (40 + 20) × 20 = 1,200 units. At 25% contribution, 100 units of eligible play reduces the displayed requirement by only 25 units; reaching 1,200 credited units would require 4,800 units of qualifying turnover. That does not mean the account will retain 30 units. Every wager still has a distribution of outcomes, and the 30-unit conversion cap limits the amount that can become withdrawable even if the requirement is completed.

This is the point of the calculator: expose the size of the condition before activation. It is not a model of survival probability because that would require the exact game edge, bet sequence, balance rules and cancellation conditions.

Reasons to decline a bonus even when the arithmetic works

Do not activate merely because the nominal reward is large. Stop if the wagering base is unclear, your intended games have unknown contribution, the maximum stake conflicts with normal play, the deadline is unrealistic, or the conversion rule is missing. A no-bonus deposit can be easier to understand than funds governed by a second balance and cancellation rules.
