Proportional odds
In a common Rust jackpot model, skins or balance are added to a pool and the displayed chance is proportional to credited entry value. A participant credited with 10 units in a 100-unit eligible pool has a nominal 10% chance before any special rule changes that calculation.
The displayed percentage should update when the pool changes. Record whether late entries are accepted, when the timer closes and whether there is a maximum contribution or participant count.
Why a larger pool does not improve value
A larger pool creates a larger possible settlement, but a participant’s chance is still determined by their share. Adding more items raises the amount at risk at the same time as it raises the nominal probability. The platform fee or rake remains a cost across repeated rounds.
Timer pressure can encourage a late extra deposit. The countdown is an interface event, not evidence that an entry has become mathematically better.
Valuation affects the percentage
The pool calculation uses the operator’s credited values. If one item is displayed at 12 units on the site and at a different value elsewhere, the jackpot percentage still follows the site’s figure. Check whether deposit values, pool values and withdrawal prices use the same methodology.

Fees and settlement
The site may take a percentage from the pool, remove selected items, charge through valuation or describe another settlement rule. Useful rules state the fee before the round and show what the winner actually receives. A displayed pool total should not be assumed to equal withdrawable value.
Verifying winner selection
A completed-round record should show the final eligible pool, participant values, ticket or range assignment, committed random input, generated winning value and winner. A verifier should reproduce the generated selection rather than asking the user to trust a final label.
